So! We finally get Jeri Ann back on the air, after losing her to The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Yes, the Rodeo ended a couple of months ago, but the responsibilities of a volunteer team captain are almost year-round. Anyway...

This episode, we're going to debate about how to address the storm of hateful disinformation and political activity that our trans brothers and sisters have faced over the last few years. No, we are not in complete agreement on the prospects for widespread acceptance, or the best approach to that, but we (Jeri Ann and I) do agree on what kind of strategy that progressive politics is going to need.

Spoiler alert: It's not going to be popular with some of our LGBTQ+ allies.

I'm not sure that it's a distinction one should brag about, but apparently we've been around long enough to now have a "Lost Episodes" collection.

What I am proud of is that we have recovered, in an undocumented backup, two recordings that were very important to us. Both were remote sessions (our favorite type of show).

This one, Episode 24, is our session from the first ever Katy Pride Festival in October of 2023.

Yes. We are back, at long last.

In this episode, we are going to eviscerate the notion that it's "just common sense" that one can not be any other gender than the one assigned to them at birth, by virtual of certain physical attributes. Trans people and their allies know this to be incorrect, but it is an almost universally held belief amongst most people. There is an easily identified reason for that, and tragically, certain political quarters know this and are exploiting that ignorance to great effect.

Join me as I look at the issue, and start to propose a strategic response.
