We've talked a lot about the life experiences that black women go through that make them feel dehumanized, less than, and neglected within our society. For our finale episode, we're going to be tying all of our conversations back to Black Feminist Theory, Othering, and Intersectionality, and really nailing down what black women need in our society to not be deemed as an "other".

Black women have been subjected to constant abuse from the medical system, both as doctors and patients. Black female doctors have to break down barriers while fighting the label of being incompetent, while black female patients are constantly being taken advantage of or neglected by their doctors. Media and media portrayals play a huge role in how people are perceived and treated, especially black women. Black women have been subjected to many stereotypes within the media, and have been given very little room to be authentic and have depth.
