  • Dream Card #5 - ChampionsBowl: The Extra Lethal Lottery
    May 5 2021

It's time for another Wrestling Life Support Podcast Dream Card! This one was inspired by last week's review of Starrcade 1991: Battlebowl - The Lethal Lottery. But instead of a roster full of Sgt. Buddy Lee Parkers and Arachnamans and Nightstalkers...we get 40 all-time greats that held heavyweight titles across the biggest promotions in wrestling history. If you weren't ever the number one guy in a major wrestling company - no need to apply.

Hogan. Flair. Austin. Rock. Hart. Bruno. Mil. Baba. Hansen. They're all here. And Donnie has to book them all, on-the-fly, with the help of the random number generator of doooooom!

The winner is the WLS season one champion. So there's that.

Thanks for listening...leave us a positive review, it means a lot! We will catch you next time...adios!

  • WCW Starrcade 1991 - Battlebowl: The Lethal Lottery
    Apr 28 2021

We're back! You know you missed us!

The Wrestling Life Support Podcast returns and takes on a Jay Lauderdale-favorite (or is it?): WCW Starrcade 1991 - Battlebowl: The Lethal Lottery. It's a show so dysfunctional that it needed three names.

From questionable execution of a pretty cool concept to questionable ring attire from The Nightstalker, it's a show where we have to decide if the MVP is Terrence Taylor or Sgt. Buddy Lee Parker. And that, my friends, ain't good.

All of this, plus a very special ASK DONNIE segment!

Please listen, like, subscribe, leave a positive review...it means a lot! Thanks and we will catch you next time...adios!

  • WWF WrestleMania III (1987)
    Apr 7 2021

So we did it. We went "bigger, badder, and better" with the grandaddy to the grandaddy of them all...WrestleMania III. Hogan-Andre. Savage-Steamboat. Piper-Adonis. Aretha. The Ueck. In one show, you get it all - arguably the greatest moment in pro wrestling history, one of the greatest matches in pro wrestling history, attendance controversy, broadcasting brilliance, competent celebrity involvement, and some of the most iconic visuals in sports entertainment. This event took wrestling to an entirely new level - and has brought with it entirely new levels of myth and legend.

It was definitely "bigger". Hard to argue that it was "badder". But was it "better"? Tune in to find out!

All of this, plus another installment of "Ask Donnie"!

Please leave us a positive review, rating, and subscribe...thanks and we will catch ya' next time! Adios!

The Wrestling Life Support Podcast is back with another two-parter as we tackle Saturday Night's Main Event #10 and WrestleMania 3 in back-to-back weeks. Up first, from Joe Louis Arena, is the tenth installment of SNME featuring a 20-man battle royal headlined by Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant, a pool of Lanny Poffo plasma, "400 pounds of white meat", patriotic Dan Spivey, the 6,000th match between Randy Save and George "The Animal" Steele, the Hart Foundation's "first time", and whatever "15 years of undefeated obesity" means. It's an SNME for the ages!

All of this...plus a FACE OR HEEL with Donnie Mueller!

  • WWF WrestleMania V (1989)
    Mar 24 2021

The Wrestling Life Support Podcast finishes off their two-part series with the 14-match wrestling exposition, WrestleMania V. Did the year-long Mega-Powers narrative generate a satisfying payoff? Or did the conclusion of the soap opera leave you mega-bored? Donnie and Jay have their opinions on this, plus Morton Downey, Jr.'s role on Piper's Pit, snot rockets, randomly inserted Jimmy Snuka appearances, and even more Twin Towers-based "what if's".

In addition to the review, WLS treats everyone to another round of "FACE OR HEEL"!
