The World Football Programme has been on air since 1987. The show has grown into an energetic and informative two hours of football news on Saturday mornings between 10-12. To get complete football coverage, the show engages with a handful of local and national guests live every show. The programme is researched, produced and presented by Penny TannerHoath and the team. Penny has played football for state and country. We all coach, play or administrate in the sport and love talking about all aspects of football. A sampling of our regular guests include - National Coaches and players, Football Federation Australia representatives, ALeague and WLeague spokespeople such as Tom Sermanni, Capital Football’s Heather Reid, Melbourne Victory’s Paul Trimboli, FFA’s Damien DeBohun; Perth Glory’s Steve McGarry, Declan Kelly, Jamie Harnwell and Jason Brewer, Lisa De Vanna, Fox, ABC and SBS Sport presenters Simon Hill, Adam Peacock, Sarah Walsh, Scott McIntyre and Vitor Sobral to name a few.     The guest list for this Saturday is:

    Shannon Bennison, Head Coach Swan United. It's all changed at Swan and the new coach joins us to tell us a bit about himself and his ambition for Swan and beyond.

    Ann Odong, PR Manager, Matildas. After 8 years with the Tillies, Ann is moving on, we will talk to her about her remarkable journey from community radio to National team recognition.

    Steve Nelkovski, Olympic Kingsway SC. Steve will reflect on the passing of Nick Trandos and his legacy at Olympic. The Premier amateur side is riding high, and the club has big plans for the local clash with Kingsley Westside. The NPL side are sitting nicely in the top four and meet Stirling in an away game.

    Paul Lowethorpe, AWFA. In another first the AWFA will compete in Bali for the Asia Pacific Walking Football cup. We will find out when and where this is happening, what age groups are competing and what nations they will meet. The Association is keen to strengthen bonds with our Indonesian neighbours and are to leave a lasting legacy with the Balinese Football community.

    Alexandra Lyons, UWA-Nedlands FC President. UWA recently celebrated 50 years of women’s football teams at the club. There’s some very significant names and events in the club history. Not the least is the appointment of a female President of one of the largest clubs in Western Australia.

    Simon Hill, A-League and Socceroos Match Commentator. Simon is finishing a stellar career in Australia as our premier match caller for the nation's premier competitions and international matches. He signs off with an A-League derby and the Socceroos defeating Japan right here in Perth in front of a sell-out Stadium. A tidy time to bid farewell?

    Tom Sermanni, outgoing Matildas Coach. The Nations iconic team are mid tour from the Eastern States to WA, preparing for the Asian Cup 2026 and prepping the space for the much-anticipated new National Coach, Joe Montemurro to step in.
