Acerca de esta escucha
In this episode of The Real Female Entrepreneurs, Angel France welcomes the unstoppable Carol Hanlon – an international trailblazer in women’s economic empowerment, fashion entrepreneurship, and small business development.
Carol shares her extraordinary journey from humble beginnings in Australia to becoming a global changemaker, founding two not-for-profits: Belmont Business Enterprise Center Inc. and the Textile Clothing Footwear Resource Centre of Western Australia Inc.
With over 30 years of experience supporting entrepreneurs in fashion, textiles, and small business, Carol opens up about launching her own fashion label in the 1970s, the challenges of being a woman in business during an unsupportive era, and how she balanced motherhood, entrepreneurship, administration of racing stables and looking after apprentice jockeys and stable hands that also lived with the family – all while empowering others.
Carol has represented Australia at international forums like the APEC Women in the Economy Forum and the UN CSW NGO Forums, and was awarded the prestigious Woman of the Decade Award. She is a fierce advocate for women’s confidence, self-esteem, and global collaboration through NGOs and female-led initiatives.
This inspiring conversation is a masterclass in resilience, resourcefulness, and the power of women lifting each other up.
If you’re building a business from the ground up or seeking purpose in your entrepreneurial journey, this episode is a must-listen.
