Acerca de esta escucha

The Missing Found is a true crime podcast that focuses on missing person cases in the Black Community, that have gone cold or with little to no coverage. Statistically, African Americans receive far less media coverage than our White counterparts. According to The Black and Missing Foundation, in 2021, African Americans make up only 13% of the United States population, but our missing person percentage sits at 37%. It’s impossible to report on every case of a missing person in the country, but the divide between us and other races are severely disproportionate when it comes to media cover Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/the-missing-found-podcast/supportThe Missing Found Podcast Crímenes Reales

  • Case Episode 30 | The Disappearance of Tameka Anderson | The Perfect Set Up
    Jul 8 2025

On the cold morning of Tuesday, February 23, 2010, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, twenty-five year old Tameka Anderson had set plans to purchase a used vehicle from a private seller.

She had it all figured out with how she was going to get there, how she was going to pay for it, but somewhere in between something happened and things went dark.

It was unclear whether she made it to the end destination to purchase the vehicle or if she even made it to Galvez — the city where the vehicle was.

After fifteen years with no answers and no explanation, it makes you wonder if there is someone out there that holds the answers — you know, street code. Perhaps someone close to her; maybe not wanting to talk because they’ve seen something or know something.

Details about Tameka’s personal life, including their childhood, family dynamics, and behavioral history, are currently unavailable, limiting the scope of this analysis. However, we’re going to look at the facts of the case, retrace the timeline of what we know, look at the case details, breakdown every element to piece together this nearly 20 year mystery, explore the one possibility, and close with my opinion.

  • Case Episode 29 | The Disappearance of DaVohnte Morgan | A Spiritual Vacation to a Cold, Bizarre Mystery
    Jun 19 2025

On Monday, May 4, 2020, DaVohnte and his girlfriend took a 4 hour road trip from San Francisco to Mount Shasta, California. The trip was supposed to be what you’d call a “spiritual retreat” — a trip that his girlfriend recommended. They were expected to return on the next day, Tuesday, May 5 — just in time for Davohnte to attend his nephew’s birthday party, but that never happened.

Davohnte’s girlfriend contacted his relative, and informed her that they got into an argument and went separate ways. All was fine, one may have thought, until he was seen on camera walking, seemingly normal, then things go dark. It’s like he just vanished.

With odd behaviors from the girlfriend, there’s a high possibility that she may know more than she’s leading on. There’s also a possibility that he fell victim to someone or something in Mount Shasta — especially with the double-sided reputation it holds.

Another chilling case that doesn’t have an explanation and no end in sight, but the answers are there. This wasn’t an ordinary trip, and I’ll explain why. We will get into some details about DaVohnte and who he was before he went missing, the case details, information on the retreat destination and about Mount Shasta, theories, breakdown every detail, and close with my opinion.

When you mix new age spirituality with vulnerability, you may open yourself up to a multitude of things. In this case, I believe the answers are right there but the one who holds the answers just isn’t ready to talk, I believe. Maybe after this, she will be.

  • Case Episode 28 | The Murder of Kanika Powell w/ Live Footage of Crime Scene: | This Time She Didn't Have to Open the Door
    Jan 2 2025

On a warm summer morning on Thursday, August 28, 2008 in Prince George's County, Laurel, Maryland, 28 year old Kanika Powell took off work in preparation for a weekend getaway with a new friend to Pride festival in Atlanta. She used that early morning to run some errands and get her car serviced before they both embarked on the 11 hour trip. Upon returning from running her errands, Kanika was gunned down in her apartment hallway, in broad daylight, after experiencing a series of week-long anonymous and odd visitors to her front door.

You have to wonder, who would want Kanika dead? This was no accident or mistaken identity. In fact, the assailant knew exactly who she was and who to target.

There were no eyewitnesses, but neighbors heard her voice, smelled the gun powder in the air, and the multiple shots fired that eventually claimed the life of Kanika.

A chilling case that isn't just what happened, but why…and who. We will get into some details about Kanika and who she was, the case details, the strange unexplainable series of events that led to her violent murder, theories, a possible connection of another murder right in the county, and close with my opinion.

You have to ask yourself, how can a very well educated, Army veteran, who lived a normal life, with a job that required a top security clearance, be targeted and eventually brutally murdered only steps away from her front door?
