We expect too much from Leftists. They make the dumbest of decisions as we have witnessed. But where should the blame go?

Some goes to them for sure. Because a 50-year old should have the common sense not to marry an 18-year old stripper.

But some people just didn't get taught how to think. Thus they lack common sense. We also call this critical thinking. Both of those come from maturing, and we all know that Leftists rarely mature.

There is much my parents didn't teach me, because they can't teach everything. So some lessons came the hard way. Don't we all learn the hard way at some point in life? Sure, some learn more and harder lessons that others, but strife is a good teacher. What lessons have people learned the hard way in history?

I told you guys that I’m trying to get in better health, as I don’t like going to doctors and so on. Up to a certain age you may be able to get away with that, but there comes a time when all those medical commercials fit what you’re going through.

Let’s get one thing straight: I don’t avoid doctors out of fear. I avoid them out of principle. Why pay someone to tell you what you already know? “Sir, your cholesterol is made of bacon and regret.” Thanks, Einstein.

But age, that relentless sneak thief, has a way of making those late-night pharmaceutical ads sound less like dystopian fiction and more like a personal biography. “Do you experience… being alive? You may be at risk for… mortality.” Terrifying.

So, when my wife Melissa—who may or may not have ulterior motives involving life insurance—dragged me to get my heart checked, I went. Not because I’m responsible, but because I’d run out of excuses. (“I’m busy” doesn’t fly when she catches you watching Dead Like Me and reruns of old golf classics… between naps.)

As always weekends are not a time to take a break from anything. The Left never rests, because the devil never rests.

The best we can hope for is to enjoy small respites from the muck and mire of Leftism and enjoy family and friends in between the battles. Our get-togethers are a reminder of what we fight for.

Are the Democrats on the good side of any issue in America these days? It’s difficult for me to understand their logic. I come to the conclusion that they simply hate this country, and this is a LEARNED condition.

They don’t live anything they espouse. They hate capitalism but crave it and use it more than any citizen. They want to be left to “be themselves”, yet they force their ideologies on everybody around them.

They condone crime, but protect themselves from it, they claim to want to save the “democracy” as they continually do things to destroy it.
