In this high-impact episode, Chris Do sits down with Victoria Dior Wang—CEO of Goldzone Group and a trailblazer in experiential leadership education—to unpack why most professionals, especially in Asia, are selling all wrong. From cultural beliefs rooted in Confucian values to a widespread fear of self-promotion, Chris and Victoria explore why talented people keep playing small—and how to break free.

They dive deep into why traditional sales methods feel manipulative, the shame that comes with self-promotion, and how personal branding can help you sell with confidence (and integrity). This conversation is a must-listen for creatives, consultants, entrepreneurs, and anyone struggling with visibility, pricing, or imposter syndrome.

  • 341 - How I Raised My Kids for Success - With Chris Do
    Apr 19 2025

In this episode, I share my personal philosophy on parenting and how I raised my two sons to be independent, creative, and entrepreneurial. I reflect on my upbringing as a first-generation immigrant, the parenting styles I observed, and how I deliberately avoided helicopter parenting to foster self-sufficiency in my children.

I discuss the importance of setting firm boundaries while allowing freedom, why letting kids fail is crucial to their development, and how I instilled values of respect, decision-making, and responsibility. I also explore the long-term impact of parenting styles, how wealth and privilege affect children's behavior, and the consequences of overprotective parenting. If you're a parent, thinking about becoming one, or reflecting on your own upbringing, this episode offers valuable insights into raising resilient and capable kids.

Want to learn from a no-nonsense design expert? This is the podcast.

Besides all of the gems of information in each episode; the stories behind the guests are truly inspirational. As a designer, it’s nice to see other industry professionals thriving and freely giving so much good information, like their favorite software/websites/tricks/routines.
I also appreciate Chris interview style of being direct and super analytical. This show is filled with tips for designers but would be interesting to anyone with an entrepreneurial spirit.
Thank you, Chris Do!
