Acerca de esta escucha
The sun is cranking up the heat with temperatures soaring near 90 degrees and an extreme UV index that means serious business. Grab that sunscreen and stay protected! Water temperatures are sitting pretty in the upper 80s - practically bathwater warm.
For our friends from Cedar Key to Fort Myers Beach, today's surf is looking calm as can be with waves barely kissing the one-foot mark. Rip current risk remains low, but always keep an eye out near jetties and piers where tricky currents can pop up.
Wind patterns will dance around today - starting east around 5 to 10 miles per hour and shifting southwest by afternoon. Coastal zones from Pinellas to Charlotte are expecting some scattered shower action and isolated thunderstorms, so have a backup plan if you're heading to the beach.
Tidal highlights include morning and afternoon highs across various locations. Cedar Key will see its low tide around 7:09 AM and high tide at 12:48 PM, while Fort Myers Beach catches its high tide at 11:31 AM.
As evening rolls in, expect mostly clear skies with temperatures hovering around 80 degrees. Those easterly winds will keep things interesting, blowing softly at 5 to 10 miles per hour.
Wednesday continues the summer symphony with similar conditions - plenty of sunshine, chance of scattered showers, and temperatures maintaining their tropical groove in the low 90s.
Stay cool, stay safe, and enjoy our slice of Florida paradise!
