Detroit Tigers beat Tampa Bay Rays 9-3 in the series finale to avoid the sweep at George Steinbrenner Field in Tampa Bay. Casey Mize left the game in the sixth inning with an apparent lower body injury. Detroit Tigers offense broke out in a big way in the top of the 9th with a 6-run inning to take the game from 3-1 to blow it open for the 9-3 final. Wenceel Perez had the big go-ahead two run home run in the 7th inning to make it 3-1. Detroit Tigers Bullpen pitched four scoreless innings after Casey Mize left due to injury. Detroit Tigers will have an off day tomorrow before returning home for a series against the Athletics and the Minnesota Twins.
