  • SC4: Surpassing Circles Spotlight Series: In Loving Memory Featuring Breanna Sprenger: The Good Life Voices (Part 4)
    Jul 4 2025

Today’s episode is unlike any other.

It features the radiant Breanna Sprenger—a Good Life Ambassador, disability advocate, and beautiful soul who left a mark on everyone she met.

Breanna lived with spina bifida, but that was never what defined her.

What stood out was her warmth, her insight, her quiet strength, and the joy she carried into every room she entered.

Her heart for advocacy and inclusion was fierce, and her belief in a better world was unshakable.

Shortly after this conversation was recorded, Breanna passed away. It is with reverence and love that we now share her voice and her story as part of her legacy.

This episode is more than an interview—it’s a tribute. A reflection of who she was, what she stood for, and how powerfully she used her voice to create change.

You’ll hear her speak about breaking past the labels she was given, advocating for a more inclusive community, and what it truly means to be seen—not just as a person with a disability, but as a whole, brilliant human being.

Breanna, your presence was a gift.
    Your voice lives on.
    We’ll carry it forward—forever.

  • SC2: Surpassing Circles Spotlight Series- Featuring Shaye Taylor (Part 2)- The Good Life Voices
    Jun 20 2025

Today on Surpassing Circles, we’re celebrating unstoppable spirit, unapologetic advocacy, and the beauty of living life on your own terms.

Meet Shaye Taylor—Special Olympics Ohio athlete, LGBTQ+ advocate, cashier, sister, speaker, and all-around force of nature.

Born and raised in Cleveland’s West Park neighborhood, Shaye has never fit into a box—and she’s never tried to. Whether she’s gliding across the ice in a figure skating routine or knocking down pins on the bowling lane, Shaye shows us what it means to lead with joy, resilience, and radical self-determination.

She shares this passion for sport and self-expression with her twin sister, Sharita—who’s also an athlete and advocate in her own right.

As a Good Life Ambassador for the Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities, Shaye uses her voice to break barriers and build bridges—championing both disability inclusion and LGBTQ+ visibility in a world that often tries to silence both.

Whether she’s behind a microphone or behind the register at Marc’s, one thing’s for sure: Shaye doesn’t just surpass labels—she shatters them.

This is one of those conversations that will stay with you.
    Let’s get into it.

  • Season 2: Episode 4: Let Them Call It Selfish
    Jun 19 2025

If choosing rest, setting boundaries, or saying no makes you “selfish”—then maybe selfish isn’t such a bad thing.

In this powerful episode of Surpassing Labels, we’re reclaiming the word that’s been used for too long to keep women small, overextended, and soul-tired. Felicia invites you to flip the script, speak your truth, and take up space—without apology.

  • SC1: Surpassing Circles Spotlight Series – Featuring Grace Blatt (Part 1): The Good Life Voices
    Jun 13 2025

Welcome to Part 1 of The Good Life Voices!

This is where we shine the light on voices that are shifting culture, breaking barriers, and redefining what’s possible.

I’m so excited to introduce you to Grace Blatt—an autistic self-advocate, educator, and all-around truth-teller who is living the good life on her own terms.

Grace holds a Master’s in Psychological Sciences and teaches upper-division neuroscience courses at Cleveland State University, where she weaves together her academic brilliance and lived experience in a way that’s nothing short of transformative.

For nearly a decade, Grace has served as a Good Life Ambassador with the Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities—helping to build a more inclusive, empowered world through advocacy, education, and connection.

She’s also a leader with Milestone Autism Resources, serves on their Associate Board, and plays a key role in the ConneXtion Conference, where her voice and vision continue to make a lasting impact across the neurodivergent community.

Oh—and when she’s not out here changing the world?
You’ll find her crocheting, knitting, making gorgeous jewelry, or hanging out with her cat, Phinnigan (who, honestly, could have his own episode).

Grace brings insight, humor, strength, and soul to this conversation—and I know you’re going to walk away feeling both seen and expanded.

  • Season 2 Episode 3: The Weight You Carry That No One Sees
    Jun 6 2025

They don’t see the mental tabs you keep open.
The reminders, the meal planning, the birthday cards, the calming down, the checking in.
They don’t see the emotional labor—because you make it look effortless.

But just because it’s invisible doesn’t mean it isn’t heavy.

In this episode of Surpassing Labels, we’re naming the unseen, unthanked, and often unshared load so many women carry quietly—every single day. This is for the woman who’s done being the unspoken glue… and is ready to feel held, too.

    You’ll hear:

    • What emotional labor really looks like (beyond the buzzword)

    • Why soul exhaustion shows up even when “nothing is wrong”

    • The mindset shifts that let you reclaim space, support, and softness

This isn’t about blame—it’s about truth.
And truth is where healing begins.

  • SC .5: Surpassing Circles Begins: A Tribute to the Stories That Still Need Telling
    Jun 6 2025

Welcome to the Surpassing Circles Spotlight Series—a sacred space within the Surpassing Labels Podcast devoted to honoring the voices, stories, and resources from the special needs and disability community.

    This isn’t a pivot. It’s a return.
Because while this podcast has grown to include women’s healing, identity, and emotional freedom… it was born from advocacy, caregiving, and the quiet strength of those navigating life in systems not built for them.

And that part of the story? Still matters.
    Still needs telling.

We’re launching this spotlight with a powerful 4-part mini-series featuring the Good Life Ambassadors of Cuyahoga County, Ohio—adults with developmental disabilities who are redefining advocacy, inclusion, and what it truly means to be seen.

You’ll hear from four incredible individuals—starting with Grace Blatt and Shaye Taylor—who are using their lived experiences to create lasting change in schools, communities, and hearts.

If you’ve ever believed that every voice deserves a seat at the table, this series is for you.

  • Season 2 Episode 2: The Roles We’re Praised For Are the Ones That Are Killing Us
    Jun 1 2025

You’re the strong one. The reliable one. The one who holds it all together.
And the world praises you for it.

But here’s the truth no one talks about:
The very roles we’re applauded for are often the ones eroding us from the inside out.

In this bold and deeply honest episode of Surpassing Labels, we’re naming what so many high-functioning, soul-exhausted women feel but rarely say out loud:

That survival-mode roles like “The Fixer,” “The Giver,” and “The One Who Always Has It Together” may have protected us—but they’ve also buried us.

    We explore:

    • The disappearing act women are celebrated for

    • The emotional toll of "good girl conditioning"

    • How praise can become a prison

    • And the courageous shift from performance to presence

    This isn’t about shame.
    It’s about truth.
And it’s your invitation to stop performing for love—and start returning to the woman you were never meant to lose.

🌀 Reflection Prompts from This Episode:

    • What version of me gets the most praise?

    • What version of me is always tired?

    • Who am I when no one is watching and nothing needs to be fixed?
