This episode of the Sports for All Podcast features Milan Antonvic, who is a doctoral researcher at the Institute for Mental Health at the University of Birmingham, where his research focuses on the mental health of young people. Milan's work places particular emphasis on underserved communities and explores the role of physical activity in promoting psychological well-being. Driven by a strong commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion, Milan aims to address mental health disparities through both research and practical interventions.
Alongside his PhD studies, Milan is also training as a cognitive behavioural therapist, enabling him to bridge the gap between academic research and clinical practice.
Outside of academia, Milan enjoys training for triathlons and playing the drums. A personal highlight in his sports journey was becoming the Serbian National Champion in Middle Distance Triathlon in 2023.
