    If you are in a leadership position, you have to be giving 100% every day and be on top of your game. To help be in this position you need rest, exercise, eat right and stay away from drugs and alcohol. Ron also talks about 3 friends that are currently in the hospital with heart related issues. They all have one thing in common and that is they are overweight. Once stable, they are being told by their doctors to eat differently (better nutrition and eating habits) and exercise.

    Ron was talking to a friend of his at the gym and tells a story that her husband is a Fireman and EMT. He want on a call the other day where a man needed medical attention, but was drunk and tried to fight the husband so he used his training from Rons Dojo and knocked the drunk guy out to prevent him from injuring himself further or someone else. Ron talks about how exercise and working out can benefit you in multiple ways and lead to a happier life.

    Ron was at the gym and a guy walked up to him and said I see you here all the time, and I have not been to the gym since High School. Ron told him he was glad he made the commitment to come to the gym to exercise because it is so important as you get older. Also he spoke with a friend he sees there all the time and she told him about her relative that was very sick with liver failure. She took her 10 year old son to the hospital to see her and the relative said she did not want to fight it anymore and was not going to do the liver transplant. The 10 year old boy cried and pleaded the relative to have the transplant. The relative changed her mind and decided to go through with the transplant. It goes to show you that one experience can change someone's path in life.

    Ron talks about some success stories. One is a boxer with the name of Butter Bean that after his boxing career became overweight and had some hip problems. He had good people around him that helped him make a dramatic turnaround to loose weight and have hip surgery to make him more mobile. Also talks about Gene Simmons who was born into poverty but kept moving forward and working hard, following his dream and eventually became part of the Rock Group KISS and went on to become a successful businessman.

    There was a Jiu Jitsu tournament over the weekend and one of his young students won a couple of gold medals. He asked the student if he was going to hang his medals on the wall at the gym. The student said no he was hanging them up in his room at home. Ron explained how it could help encourage and motivate the other young students to get better and improve. The next day the student brought the medals in and hung them on the wall at the gym.

    Whenever you are working with or involved with multiple people and personalities there will always be some disagreements or drama. Ron gives an example of a local music artist that opened for Tage Feront and went on tour for over 3 years, but now it has ended and they split up. There were some disagreements that caused the split. Challenges and drama will happen, so you have to take the high road and try to make the best of it or develop solutions to keep moving your goals forward.
