Tab please listen to your black man

First of all, I love and respect you two all the way around the universe and back. I have to tell you that I had to listen to my father when he told me “you’ll never be able to understand a black man’s struggles like I’ll never be able to relate to a black womans. Chance is trying to tell you that violence is inevitable for a black man in today’s world in more ways than it was yesterday. The jealousy, hate, cruelty and more is something that our community is laced with more so than ever. Which causes bullying. Prepare your baby for the worse in hopes that he will never want to use it. Chance isn’t saying put a weapon in the babies hands, but don’t leave him unarmed. Google images of black babies being stomped out because they refuse to fight. A baby died in vegas this year because he simply did t stick up for himself in the locker room. It’s ugly, scary and just our lives as black folk. Nothing has changed but the access to camera now. I hope you have a change of heart and will be able to say, “ I’m glad we did” and not “ I wish we could have”. Everything you said is so valid. I have 3 boys and the thought of violence hurts my spine to my uterus however that’s the exact reason we have to prepare our babies. The world unfortunately wasn’t built to protect them like we are. I love you both and thank you for sharing your world with us.
