Dolphins swim in groups. Each dolphin is free to twist , turn , dive or reach for the heavens in any way they wish. In the midst of all this improvisation there is a common movement which keeps them swinging together in close harmony. The collective term for this is a POD.
This JAZZPOD episode hopes to do the same and so does Charles Mingus, Dizzy Gillespie, Anita O' Day, George Shearing,Tony Bennet and Charlie Parker.
