Are you tired of feeling like you can’t be used by God because you are divorced? Have you set aside your ministry dreams because of your divorce? Have you ever felt judged by the body of Christ because you are divorced? Hi, I’m Dana. Like you or someone you care about, I am a divorced Christian. As a former ministry leader and pastor’s wife, I faced misguided judgment, criticism, and misinformed opinions (often based on faulty theology) within the church. After enduring years of judgment and shame, I chose to spiritually fall asleep. Nearly a decade later, I woke up to the realization that my identity hadn’t changed because of divorce. God’s call on my life remained unchanged. I discovered that the same is true for you. Whether in ministry or the marketplace, your divine calling persists despite divorce. In this podcast you will find encouragement to walk free from judgements from yourself or others, and reclaim your identity. My mission (and I’ve chosen to accept it) is to equip Christian divorced and divorced leadership in the church to rise up, reclaim, and step out into the ministry God place on their heart. If you are ready to say yes to redeeming your life and call - you are in the right place. Join me on a journey to re-remember who and whose you are and reclaim what He has called you to do. I want to hear your story! Dana@redeemed-Identity.comCopyright 2024 All rights reserved. Cristianismo Desarrollo Personal Espiritualidad Ministerio y Evangelismo Éxito Personal

  • Ep 55, Chewing the Gristle; Are Your Thoughts and Words Blocking Your Healing?
    May 27 2025

Episode Summary: In this episode of Rise and Reclaim After Divorce, Dana explores the deep healing that comes when we stop speaking from our pain and start aligning our thoughts and words with God’s truth. Using Genesis 1 as a foundation, she compares God’s creative process to our emotional healing—highlighting how the Holy Spirit “hovers” over our pain and speaks light into darkness.

Dana also introduces the science of neuroplasticity, illustrating how our thoughts shape our brains and how healing begins with intentional shifts in mindset and speech. If you've found yourself stuck chewing on the gristle of bitterness, unforgiveness, and grief, this episode will give you spiritual and practical tools to begin rebuilding.

    Key Scriptures:

    • Genesis 1:1-3 – “Let there be light.”
    • Proverbs 18:21 – Life and death are in the power of the tongue.
    • Isaiah 58:12 – You shall be called the Repairer of the Breach.
    • 2 Corinthians 2:10–11 – Forgive, so the enemy has no advantage.

    Mentioned in this Episode:

    • The Pioneer Anointing by Barbara Yoder – https://a.co/d/6U741Vl
    • Dana’s upcoming book: Healing After Divorce – 35 Prayers Rooted in God’s Word for Divorced Christians, Coming this summer!

    Takeaways:

    • Healing is a process, not an instant miracle.
    • Time Under Tension (TUT) in fitness mirrors spiritual transformation.
    • The Holy Spirit hovers over our darkness, waiting for our partnership.
    • Repeating pain-filled words can stall healing—rewire your brain with God’s Word.
    • Your thought life directly impacts your healing journey.

Call to Action: Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal where you’re stuck in negative thought loops. Then, choose to speak life and let Him partner with you to rebuild what was broken.

We are the fragrance of Christ,

    Dana

  • Ep 53, From Bodybuilder to Pastor, How Pastor Ken Ralston Reclaimed His Purpose, Part 2 After Divorce, Part 2
    May 13 2025

Pastor Ken has done it all from being a bouncer in night clubs, winning multiple body building championships to pastoring churches. He had a radical conversion and pursued God with the same excellence as his body building championships. He received his degree in Engineering but prefers to engineer for the Kingdom of God. He has a hunger for seeing people live the lives that God designed them to live. As both a pastor and a competitive bodybuilder, God uses Ken in unique ways to share His love and goodness. Devastated by his own divorce, Pastor Ken shares how he pressed through to rise and reclaim his call and destiny.

In part 2, we talk about how identity differs between men and women and talk about how God hates divorce because He loves His people. Pastor Ken shares how he navigated his feelings of failure and how the devil’s playground keeps us from healing. Pastor Ken also shares three things to encourage men to do while healing from a divorce.
