  • Iain McGilchrist, ’We Need to Act’
    Sep 28 2022

Iain McGilchrist has been outlining for many years that a fundamental problem in the way we are perceiving the world is likely to lead us into trouble. Now in 2022 he believes the situation is reaching a crucial turning point and we need to wake up urgently.

In this conversation with Rebel Wisdom's David Fuller he talks about how our current culture's domination by a 'left brain', reductionistic, materialist and literalist perspective had reached crisis point.

He explains how this is manifesting as a 'war on reality', and a series of attacks on free speech.

  • Are we doing self improvement wrong? Steve March
    Sep 28 2022

Are we going about self development in the wrong way? That's the question tackled by our new film and course with the long time coach Steve March.

Steve's work, Aletheia Coaching, has been welcomed and embraced by the likes of John Vervaeke and others in what's been described as the Liminal Web, as it consciously addresses what's called the Meaning Crisis or Meta Crisis.

This is released at the same time as a short course with Steve to learn the basics of the Unfolding method, which teaches a powerful new approach to development known as 'unfoldment'.

You'll learn: - How to attune to yourself, others, and the world in a way that promotes deeper connection and purpose.

    - Practices to help you deeply participate in your present-moment experience

    - Techniques and practices to help you create unfolding partnerships with others

I've only listened to this episode so far, but will be replaying it & taking notes. Very comprehensive explanations with information that's pulled from multiple disciplines, time frames and cultures. Well done, Daniel. Thank you.

Well worth the listen.

Good conversation.

Over these last few years, I've grown very tired and frustrated with the heavy handed censorship online, in the news, and from public figures I once really respected. I'm over it.

As far as "trust in news" goes, that's gone for me. The political fearmongering has gotten so bad, it borders on satire. Plus, I'm uninterested in "DNC vs RNC" propaganda media, (which is all these major news networks are at this point).

Joe Rogan didn't polarize the people or lead them astray, the government and their respective media mouthpieces like CNN and FOX did. It's been going on for years, and rather than drop the shtick and work together on COVID in 2020, (at the very least from a political representative level), they chose instead to run the most contentious election I've ever seen in my life. They deserve all of the blame and fault entirely. All of them. Left, right, and center.

The bulk of the censorship is coming from the left, (which I didn't expect), and the only allowed narrative online is their preapproved opinion. Well, like I said before, I don't find DNC news credible, (or RNC news, but my focus currently is on the side that's advocating for basically federalized media).

DNC news is first and foremost loyal to their party, the politicians they promote, and to their corporate sponsors, to win votes and elections. I'm smart enough to get that their formula of sensationalized hit pieces on right wing figures is by design, (RNC media operates the same way, only against left wingers), but not everything is so politically binary. I'm inclined to think most people are well aware of this fact, considering the ratings.

However, COVID has also been made political. So, information from either is a no go for me. I could care less about how "Rand Paul Destroys Fauci", or how "Fauci Slams Back At Rand Paul". I just want to hear a full, long, conversation, (not timed debate), from different perspectives on COVID, and "Joe Rogan Takes Horse Dewormer", and "More Censorship", isn't it.

Ironically, the media covers COVID the same way Joe Rogan covers a MMA fight. It would be hilarious if it wasn't so embarrassingly awful.

I don't think there's anything that can be done at this point to restore my trust in media. I fully expect them to keep doubling down on their push for more censorship. Which is really a shame. I think there are some worthwhile voices, like Joe Rogan, out there. A bit of "middle of the road" common sense would be appreciated. It's certainly needed.

There's No Censoring Our Way Out Of This

Love this podcast, it is sorely needed today. Heterodoxical and an intelligently formulated dialectical forum, a must listen.

Thought provoking and a breath of fresh air
