Storytelling as I read from my own stories and some of the (copyright free) classics, all quirky and with a bit of a chuckle. Comments to ravensview@gmail.com or my substack.

Welcome to Raven's Readings. All these novels are copyright-free here in Canada. I need some feedback, please. This is a new story, do I go back to The Big Sleep?

I'm reading Three Men in a Boat. It's a humorous story, similar to the dry wit of P.G. Wodehouse. It was written in 1889 by Jerome K. Jerome.

I do readings twice a week. Please subscribe to my Substack newsletter, and you'll be notified of my updates as soon as they are ready. If you enjoy this reading, or have other classics you'd like to hear, leave me a comment.

Remember that you can manage here which sections of my SubStack you’ll receive emails for—fiction, Odds and Ends, Political Bytes, Podcastings, or all.

Welcome to Raven's Readings. All these novels are copyright-free here in Canada. I need some feedback, please. We're about a third of the way into The Big Sleep, and I'm teasing now with another story. Should I stay with this new one or resume The Big Sleep? Which genres do you prefer? Do you want longer episodes, a faster reading style? Let me know.

Welcome to Raven's Readings. All these novels are copyright-free here in Canada. I'm reading from The Big Sleep, a hardboiled crime novel written in 1939 by Raymond Chandler, as he introduces his character, Philip Marlow.

Last time, Marlow met with Mrs Regan at his office for some facts, and a bit of flirting. Then he met with Carmen, back at Geiger's place. Not a lot of facts from her, so he shoos her out. Or tries to, until someone comes in the front door. Who's the surprise visitor?
