MY WHY:

I have always loved working in the food industry, server, bartender, and restaurant business. Growing up on a large farm in the Midwest has given me inspiration to help others learn how to eat wisely and how to spend money sensibly on food. With a full-time job and kids, I feel I’m relatable when it comes to all the above on what most of us are looking for in life.

WE ARE MAKING: Pozole ... Authentic 🥑

Ingrediants:

  • 1 medium can of hominy/corn/white beans/lentils
  • 1 large onion (white or red)
  • Radishes
  • 3 Avocados
  • 1-2 bunch of Cilantro
  • 3 Limes or more!
  • Lots of Cumin or a little - however you like it!
  • Seasonings you like ( I used Chili Powder and Cayenne Pepper, you can use white or black pepper, or hot sauce you like)
  • Homemade Broth (S2, E6)
  • Meat of your choice if you prefer (pre cooked, otherwise the grease will be in your dish).
  • Soft Corn Shells for dipping

Instructions:

  • Chop your veggies
  • Heat a 1/2 cup broth to simmer 1/2 onion for juices and flavor
  • Bring to a nice simmer add everything else except the avocados and radishes (if slow cooking) otherwise add at the end prior to serving.
  • if you want: add in your choice of cooked meat or tofu
  • Once this is brought to a nice simmer for 10 minutes it is ready!
  • add any more spices for flavors (sour cream for some, jalapenos)
  • and enjoy!
