  • S6 Ep06 PAA 2025 Natural Therapies Review Announcement
    May 8 2025

    In this episode of the podcast we're speaking with PAA President Robyn Rix to dive into the report from the Natural Therapies Review, specifically as it relates to Pilates. This review came with a recommendation that Pilates, along with six other natural therapies, should again be eligible for health fund rebates, as was the case prior to April 2019.

    This review has been keenly anticipated by PAA members, and we know there's a lot of interest in understanding its outcomes. It's crucial for the PAA as an Association and for individual practitioners to grasp what the latest evidence suggests about the effectiveness of Pilates.

    One of the goals of this podcast is to expand the conversation around the contribution the PAA aims to make to the Pilates industry, so this episode exemplifies the committee's commitment in working towards seeing the Pilates industry improve as a professional, cohesive, and supportive community that brings the joys and benefits of Pilates to as many people as possible.

    The PAA strives to continue promoting the expansion of the Pilates Method as a professional and valued healthcare and fitness discipline. The goal of the PAA podcast is to explore the many facets and layers of the Pilates industry through conversations with the community.

    This season of the PAA podcast is focused on promoting the PAA Training Providers. By setting education benchmarks for Pilates training in Australia, the PAA enables prospective students to make the most informed decisions on their most suited training pathways. Each episode in the season gives the spotlight to the current Pilates Training Providers associated with the PAA.
