Born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Noëlla’s life changed suddenly aged five when her father died, leaving her mother destitute with no choice but to give her up. Together, she and Trinny take a look back at her difficult childhood spent living with uncaring relatives in Europe, the saving grace that was her education and the Agent Provocateur modelling competition that changed everything. They discuss her long-awaited reunion with her mother and the beginnings of the Malaika foundation, which Noëlla founded in 2007 with one mission: to empower girls and their communities in the DRC through education, clean water, vocational training and health programs. Plus, they delve into what it means to give back to your community, the life-changing power of education and finding the strength to overcome adversity.
