Naturbonus: Die Globetrotter Initiative für den Naturschutz
Mit dem Naturbonus fließen 1 % aller Globetrotter Club-Umsätze in Umweltprojekte – so kommen jährlich bis zu 1 Mio. Euro zusammen für ausgewählte Umwelt- und Naturschutzprojekte in Deutschland zusammen. Im Jahr 2024 wurden so bereits sechs Projekte mit je 100.000 Euro gefördert. Das WWF-Projekt „Weltnaturerbe Wattenmeer bewahren“ ist eines der ersten, die mit dem Naturbonus unterstützt wurden.

We became aware of Edwin Keh when we heard about the "Green Machine" – an innovative recycling facility that can separate polyester from cotton using pressure, heat, and water. However, Edwin Keh, CEO of Hong Kong RITA (Research Institute of Textiles and Apparel), inspires not only with recycling solutions. His institute is simultaneously researching 70-80 projects, including solutions for irrigation-free cotton cultivation and the filtration of microplastics using sound waves. Edwin and his scientists are primarily focused on bringing these solutions to the market quickly and scaling them to address the diverse challenges in the apparel industry. Our conversation with Edwin offers a completely new perspective on what is possible.
