Acerca de esta escucha

Mums F**king Matter with Lucy Wylde is a weekly podcast aimed at helping Mums to feel more seen and validated in their experiences of motherhood and matrescence. Just because society doesn’t (yet!) respect the monumental role of Mothers, it doesn’t mean that we can’t value ourselves. As a coach, yoga teacher, perinatal exercise specialist and Mum, Lucy shares her experience, passion and gentle activism for creating greater ease, pleasure and joy in body and mind, to help you adjust to one of life’s biggest transitions; Matrescence.Copyright 2025 Lucy Wylde Actividad Física, Dietas y Nutrición Crianza y Familias Ejercicio y Actividad Física Hygiene & Healthy Living Psicología Psicología y Salud Mental Relaciones

  • #87 RERELEASE — Taking Up Space! As You Deserve To
    Jul 1 2025

Are you playing small? Are you able to stand in your truth and be who you are in the world? If not, you deserve to! And this episode may help you with that.

This is one of my favourite topics — and most commonly talked about with my 1:1 coaching clients.

In this episode I speak about:

    • spreading out in Savasana, taking up the space on your yoga mat — and beyond
    • growing more comfortable in who you are
    • from self-silencing to being calmly assertive
    • knowing that anger is valid and natural, whatever your gender
    • the beauty and wisdom in growing older
    • over-apologising and you are not 'too much'

Themes: yoga, motherhood, mental health, parenting, matrescence

    I mention Amy Taylor-Kabbaz.

At the end, I share a poem written by Nikita Gill.

  • #85 RERELEASE - Children Are Not Tamagotchis; Give Yourself A Break
    Jun 17 2025

Children are not Tamagotchis. They won't just do and say what they're told. They are little humans with feelings and minds of their own.

Please note: I am not attempting to be a parenting coach. I am simply exposing what I feel passionate about and I know a lot of others will and do relate to.

In this episode I share my perspectives and approach to the (ridiculous) pressures we can feel as parents in this day and age, in the hope that it may bring you some relief (and a giggle or two).

In this episode I speak about:

    • the pressure on Mums today
    • the toxic expectations put upon parents and children
    • why children's emotions matter too
    • finding my truth and becoming the woman and MOTHER I want to be
    • my approach to the things and people that may judge and push their opinions onto us
    • why I said no to sleep training Matilda as a baby
    • you're not wrong — and you're not failing as a Mum!
    • maternal 'rage' and how I felt before I got therapy

Themes: parenting, motherhood, mental health, healing, matrescence

At the end, I share a poem written by Karen McMillan.
