Pastor Bobby Gore leads us through the events leading up to Jesus being recognized as the prophesied and long-awaited messianic King. The main Scripture revolves around the events of Palm Sunday, but additional scriptures in the Old Testament are tied in, connecting as well as demonstrating the same theme with wildly different results upon His second coming found in Revelation. Oddly enough there will be relevancy found in the type of animal Jesus arrives on in each of His arrivals that highlight His intention.

This message will speak directly to the array of things that are challenging many of us. If these words were powerful and effective for the original audience (who were not experiencing the indwelling of the Holy Spirit), how much more powerful for us who have Him amplfying from inside?

Through this message, I am asking the Holy Spirit to help us understand how to effectively pray and experience all of the power the Bible promises when we do. This message closes with an opportunity to come to the altar and seek God's power for our needs.

This teaching from John 4 (The Samaritan Woman) has an emphasis on the unpredictable leadership of Jesus. We believe God will use this message to breathe fresh life into our Body and giving us a jolt that will launch the next season of our mission together.

In Part 2 of "Be Strong and Courageous!" Pastor Bryan shares more details about our exciting move and what lies ahead for Monterey Church and every member of it. It's a time to praise and thank God for what He has done—and it is a time to continue to press on, seeking His wisdom and the courage to respond faithfully, beginning with praying for our new community and asking for the power to remain steadfast to The Mission!

Pastor Bryan preaches from one his favorite passages of Scripture, Isaiah 55, a chapter titled, "Invitation to the Thirsty." In this section, God speaks first person to Israel (and through Israel, to us) with an invitation to bring their (our) needs to Him and then an illustration of how He sends His Word to save.

Pastor Bobby Gore will also share a short devotional teaching from Psalm 115 titled, "Content Over Complacent," that encourages us to give God the Glory for all of His blessings and reminds us that contentment is vastly different than complacency.
