As our dear guest emerges from the tunnel he doesn't recall everything, but does recall enough to know that he hurt the woman he loved most of all. He is now more self-aware and open to where the future leads him. He has truly learned a lot and perhaps now is embracing emotional connections like never before. Light at the end of the tunnel.
