The brown eyed susans are keeping watch in the Ormond Gardens, greeting all that pass by. I believe that we are all watched over by something that helps us navigate through life. The key is to take the risk of believing you are not alone and are watched over.

Several years ago we transplanted some hydrangeas from the Historical Society to the Center. I do not know their history before being planted there. We have history in our souls that we may or may not be aware of. That history moves with us wherever we travel on our Soul’s path.

On this Independence Day in this country, I am grateful for the freedom to take a walk in Nature and sit on the bench at the top of the Lupine Field and reflect on the many things for which I am grateful, including the opportunity to share this special place with others. The delicate astilbe with its small white flowers is different from all the other varieties of plants in the Ormond Gardens. I find that people come in all kinds of varieties, and that is what makes my Soul’s journey so unique. I am grateful for that.

Now that the first of the orange lilies are blooming, I look forward to driving along the back country roads where many of the old homes are gone but the orange lilies still there take my mind back in time. I believe as we navigate the path of our soul’s purpose there is a Source with us to help blend the past with the present.
