Acerca de esta escucha
Today, Saturday June 28th, one of the most anticipated events of the season returns: Mast Landing Brewing Company’s Wavy Days Beer Fest at Thompson’s Point. From noon to 4pm, beer enthusiasts can sample unlimited pours from over 60 of North America’s top breweries, including Trillium, Bissell Brothers, Foam Brewers, and many more. Your ticket comes with a special tasting glass, and you can vibe out to live music, check out local vendors, and refuel at a lineup of food trucks. This is a 21 and up event, so bring your ID and consider carpooling to help with parking. Thompson’s Point promises a lively atmosphere and plenty of unique brews all afternoon according to Mast Landing Brewing Company and Beerfests dot com.
If you love oysters or just want a quintessential taste of Maine, the Maine Oyster Festival is happening all weekend in nearby Freeport. The celebration kicks off Friday evening at the Freeport Oyster Bar with fresh local oysters, live music, and creative cocktails. On Saturday and Sunday, shuckers can compete in The Big Shuck, and you can hop on a boat tour with Seacoast Tours to visit an active oyster farm on Casco Bay and enjoy oysters straight from the sea. Freeport goes all out, with special menus, festival activities, and even free shuttle service to make your visit smoother. Visit Freeport and The Maine Oyster Festival have all the details.
Back in Portland itself, the city’s event calendar is packed with options if you’re looking to keep things a little more low key. Thompson’s Point is hosting their weekly Summer Sunsets Live series, bringing free, family-friendly music, food trucks, and drinks to the waterfront with unbeatable sunset views. The event is open to everyone, including your pets. If vintage treasure hunting is your thing, the Lost and Found Vintage Market transforms Brick South at Thompson’s Point into Maine’s largest pop-up vintage market with dozens of vendors, eats, and drinks.
And don’t forget the ongoing events downtown, where you can catch live music, trivia nights at local restaurants, brewery tastings, art tours, and cruises on Casco Bay. From drag brunches to high tea, and behind-the-scenes tours of historic landmarks, there’s no shortage of excitement all week long according to Visit Portland Maine and Portland Downtown.
