Marta Tawil-Kuri is a Mexican-Syrian associated research professor at the Center of International Studies of El Colegio de México. Her lines of research include the foreign policies of Arab states and those of Mexico and Central America in the Middle East. While she obtained her BA from El Colegio de México, her MA and PH.D. are focus on the study of the Middle East programs in Political Science and International Relations in Science Po in Paris. She has been a visiting professor at Stanford University, the Università degli Studi di Napoli “L’Orientale”, the Université de Québec à Montréal, and the Institut de Recherches sur le Monde Arabe et Musulman (IREMAM) in Aix-Marseille. In addition to her interest in the Mexican foreign policy, she published about Syria and Palestine in different international, Latino, and Arab outlets. Her last co-edited book publication is Latin American Relations with the Middle East: Foreign Policy in Times of Crisis. She also has worked as a consultant for the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
