  • "Transforming Trauma into Triumph." with Diane Coleman
    Jun 29 2025
Diane Coleman’s journey began in the heart of South Boston, where the streets whispered stories of struggle and survival. Growing up in the D Street Housing Projects, she was surrounded by the harsh realities of life: the sounds of anger as her father beat her mother, the shadow of drug dealers lurking at every corner, and a pervasive sense of hopelessness that seemed to cling to the air. From a young age, Diane learned a strict code of loyalty to her family, which meant for her to keep her mouth closed and not talk about the violence. As she transitioned into adulthood, the weight of her childhood bore down on her. At 27, seeking an escape from the pain that had become her constant companion, she succumbed to the allure of heroin. What started as a means to numb her emotional scars quickly spiraled into a nightmare. The drug consumed her, leading her down a path of destruction that she could never have envisioned. In the darkest moments of her life, Diane found herself kidnapped and thrust into the terrifying world of human trafficking. Stripped of her autonomy and dignity, she endured unimaginable horrors. Yet amidst the chaos, a flicker of resilience remained within her—a small, but fierce glimmer of hope that whispered of a future beyond the darkness. Her life took an even more tumultuous turn when she became embroiled in a murder that would land her behind bars. It was during her time in prison that Diane experienced a profound awakening. Surrounded by women with stories much like her own, she began to confront the demons of her past. The walls of her confinement became a sanctuary for reflection and transformation. In the depths of despair, she discovered an unyielding strength and a desire to rewrite her narrative. Upon her release, Diane emerged not as a victim, but as a warrior. She understood that her past did not define her, but rather equipped her with the wisdom to help others. With a fierce determination to make a difference, she dedicated her life to advocating for women and girls who faced the same struggles she had endured. Diane shared her story openly, offering a beacon of hope to young girls caught in the grips of despair. Her message was clear: no matter how dark the past, there is always a path to healing and renewal. Diane has proved that transformation was possible and that healing begins with building a community of supporters. Diane Coleman’s story is not merely one of survival; it is a powerful testament to the human spirit’s capacity to rise from the ashes. She turned her pain into purpose, becoming a voice for those who felt voiceless. Her journey reminds us all that no matter how challenging the circumstances, we have the strength to overcome, to uplift others, and to create a legacy of hope and empowerment.

  • "Choices" with Lieutenant Chris Kiley
    Jun 26 2025

Chris grew up in the gritty neighborhoods of Boston, raised in the shadow of a father known more for his criminal past of armed robbery than for his family presence. His father, a hardened man, spent years behind bars for armed robbery. Despite this, or perhaps because of it, Chris chose a path into law enforcement, beginning his career as a Jail Officer One (JO-1). With grit and determination, he climbed the ranks to become a Building OIC Officer in Charge with the rank of Lieutenant.

Assigned to one of the most volatile sections of the maximum security jail in Boston, Massachusetts, Chris earned respect as the officer in charge—firm, fair, and unflinching when asked to do the tough jobs. Over the years, he has witnessed the darkest facets of human behavior: brutal assaults, self-destruction, and suicide. He’s faced some of the toughest inmates in the country and emerged with scars—some visible, most not. Through it all, Chris remains a survivor, shaped but not broken by the violence around him.
