The Detroit Tigers triumphed over the Boston Red Sox with a final score of 4-1 at Comerica Park. The Tigers' offense came to life in the middle innings, with Spencer Torkelson and Riley Greene each delivering critical home runs. Torkelson's two-run shot in the fifth inning gave the Tigers a lead they would not relinquish, while Greene added a two-run homer in the sixth, driving in Parker Meadows. Detroit's pitching staff was stellar, as Brant Hurter picked up the win with five solid innings of relief, allowing just one run on six hits while striking out five. Will Vest and Jason Foley effectively shut down the Red Sox in the later innings, with Foley earning his 20th save of the season. With this victory, the Tigers improve their record to 69-68 and maintain their drive towards a winning season.
