  • If AI was driven by your soul - what answers would it give!
    Jul 2 2025

I once believed - ignorantly - that “guidance” according to our star signs & astrological charts was for softheaded people needing the power of suggestion to make decisions. This conversation with Rachel Loewenherz blew my echo chamber wide open.

Rachel shares her journey from a traditional background, Ivy League education, and corporate career to embracing spirituality and astrology. Along the way she experienced tremendous losses and health challenges - which along with her expertise - also informed her creation of Star Path, an innovative AI tool designed to help individuals navigate their astrological insights and apply them to their lives.

Our conversation gets into the practical applications of astrology in navigating relationships, personal growth, and even in business contexts. Rachel emphasizes the importance of using astrology as a tool for empowerment rather than a means of placing blame, highlighting the role of free will in shaping our lives. This conversation was as liberating for me as it was illuminating.

    Post recording note:

I decided to try the Star Path app AFTER our episode was recorded; it is an indispensable tool. I’ve tested it on deeply private and personal matters in addition to business strategy and it is nothing short of accurate and instructive according to who I am at my core.

    Guest Bio:

Rachel Loewenherz is the founder of Star Path—an AI oracle powered by astrology. She’s a Yale-educated business strategist & tech marketer, former Chief of Staff, and 2-time CEO.

But that’s just on paper. Behind the scenes, she was losing pregnancies, healing from PTSD, and having a massive spiritual awakening. That’s when she found astrology.

Now she’s building Star Path - an AI that helps people remember who they are, and become who they came here to be.

  • Online dating with no pics - just your values?
    May 19 2025

I was always intrigued by the premise behind “Love Is Blind” - a reality show where singles try to find a match and fall in love -- without ever seeing each other face-to-face, as emotional connection attempts to conquer physical attraction. Full disclosure, I don’t watch TV so I haven’t seen an episode but still, the notion of moving beyond physical appearance and chemistry feels simultaneously intriguing and super risky.

Then @Drew Taylor Cohen caught my attention with a post detailing her experience when building her @Bumble profile strictly on words stating her chosen values.

    NO perfect selfies.

NO predictable prompts that yield, “I love to hike, travel, cook, walk my dogs and go wine tasting.”

    NO eggplant emojis.

Just the personal values she attempts to live by. (Oh, and one picture of her at a distance to prevent being flagged as a bot).

@Drew Taylor Cohen is an Impact Consultant and Values Coach, so we talked about how to identify our own chosen values and distinguish them from our beliefs and identities (something I rooted myself in historically). We also discuss the challenges of seeking validation from others while navigating personal choices and the need for self-awareness and the evolving nature of values as individuals grow and change.

What an awesome conversation especially as I consider something similar in my own dating journey. Anyone relate? Join the conversation…

    Guest Bio:

Trained in holistic, neurodiverse and values-aligned coaching techniques, Drew helps singles and couples break old patterns and align their values to find lasting love.

Dedicated to finding love that felt soul-aligned and safe, she set out on a personal development journey that led her to discover her values and trust her needs and desires. What did she do next? She created a dating profile with no photos, just screenshots of her values and how she envisioned them being shared in an aligned partnership. And it worked! Her fiancé and her just celebrated four years of swiping right on the things that matter most.

Through 1:1 coaching, she now helps her clients rewrite their own values-aligned love story and clarify what truly matters in love. Her aligned love method is about prioritizing your non-negotiables and curating love that mirrors the truth of who you already are.

She also developed and leads the Live Authentically program. This workshop and accompanying workbook uses a proven framework that guides participants to explore who you are, discover your chosen values and pursue an aligned life.

When she’s not helping people align their relationships and life to their values, she’s supporting purpose-driven organizations as a freelance impact consultant. Drew leverages her expertise through operations, strategy and impact communications work.

  • “Act like a man!” and Break the Glass Ceiling with Dr. Kasi Lacey
    Apr 28 2025

My conversation with Dr. Kasi Lacey speaks to a common experience among many; a woman and leader confronting the glass ceiling in an organization.

Kasi was passed over more than once for positions she was eminently qualified for “because they were instructed to hire a man…” Her encounter with gender bias became an inflection point; she did a new thing and made the decision to walk in and “act like a man” and demand the job she had more than earned. Kasi deliberately mimicked the hubris and assertion of a man who once came to her office demanding a promotion of his own. It worked.

As a bi-racial woman who presents “white” - Dr. Lacey shares her experiences with racism as well as toxic leadership and hustle culture. We also discuss the complexities of a “fake it til you make it” mentality and the significance of listening to one's inner voice as a means of empowerment and self-trust. Join the conversation!

    Guest Bio:

I’m Kasi—a, psychologist, confidence coach, bi-racial woman, mother, and former C-suite leader who left the structured world of higher education to pursue a bigger mission: helping women step into unshakable confidence and unapologetic leadership.

For years, I played by the rules—earning my Ph.D. at 26, climbing the leadership ranks, and breaking barriers in male-dominated spaces. I fought to get my seat at the table, only to realize my ladder was leaning against the wrong building. I had checked all the boxes of success, yet I still felt like I was playing small.

That no longer works for me.

I built my own business, H & L Legacy Consulting, to help high-achieving women overcome imposter syndrome, advocate for themselves, and lead with confidence. Whether it's navigating workplace challenges, negotiating salaries, or owning their worth, I believe that when women stop doubting themselves, they change industries, organizations, and lives—including their own.

  • Disordered eating and silencing yourself share a solution; listen to your body!
    Apr 22 2025

In this conversation, Amber Abila and I discuss the challenges many of us face when it comes to listening to our bodies, setting boundaries, and giving voice to what’s true for us. Amber is a binge and overeating coach, while I coach people to speak with impact and clarity from their truest voice.

We both see huge overlap in our coaching practices and agree that listening to our body is crucial for understanding our needs and then getting them met - whether that is with moderate amounts of nourishing food or expressing our authentic Selves verbally.

It has taken me a long time to learn what it means to create safety in my body, to sit with my emotions and not eat or drink them away. Amber and I dig into matters of self-worth, the struggle against people-pleasing, and the reality of shame and its ability to trigger overeating, binge eating, staying silent or speaking non-truths. It’s all related…join the conversation.

    Guest Bio:

Amber Abila helps women stop binge eating & overeating by rewiring their brains so they can feel normal and in control around ANY food.

Through coaching and psychology, she learned that there was nothing wrong with her and she just needed some simple brain tools to start making dramatic shifts in her eating habits and life.

She now walks others step by step through her process in her signature Confident Eater Program as well as in her podcast, in the top 3% worldwide, called “Become a Confident Eater.”

  • Coming home to yourself and the dismantling that requires
    Apr 14 2025

I don’t often use the word “enlightening” but this conversation with Lara Waldman was just that. We explored our stories of spiritual awakening, the ways that we understand this elusive term called “manifestation,” and our unique journeys of self-discovery. This was a topic of conversation that I once would have labeled heretical and taboo because it didn’t align with my limited viewpoint or echo chamber. What a loss that would have been.

Lara shares her personal experiences to illustrate the interconnectedness of money, intimacy, and ancestral trauma. At one point, she says, “...for me, manifesting is mostly about releasing and letting go of everything that is NOT YOU, which is a lot of history, a lot of stories, a lot of programs, a lot of patterns…we're here to know ourselves often through the experience of lack, but that's not the truth of who we are…manifesting is connecting with who you are and what your soul wants to experience through physical reality. And that's not just the good stuff, right? We're here to have a full, rich experience of being alive as a human being on this planet. This is high level stuff.”

Yes, yes it is “high level stuff” and totally worth the conversation. Join us.

    Guest Bio:

Lara Waldman, a.k.a The Wealth Accelerator, is a manifestation expert, healer, podcast host and author of 'Money Manifestation Mastery'.

She draws on over two decades of experience as a healer and spiritual coach to help transformational educators, business owners, leaders and professionals achieve financial success guided by the soul of their business and their wealthy inner wisdom.

Lara’s passion is helping the world’s leaders create authentic success by activating their creative power within. She’ll teach you the mindset, practices, and strategy you need to build the wealth and freedom you desire without the grind.

  • The “echo chamber” of the American military expands my own
    Apr 7 2025
When echo chambers collide you get the best conversation! I sat down with Justin Cauthen, a man with 20 years of military service and five combat tours to his credit - not to mention leadership roles in situations and countries where hostility is often the norm. His story is powerful. And so is his heart. We talked about things that matter deeply—PTSD, suicide, the ripple effect trauma has across professions, the toll military life takes on spouses and kids. Justin shared with such humility and vulnerability. One of the things he said that struck me most was this: trauma radiates. And it does—it moves through people, relationships, even whole communities. And this is experienced by many - not just those associated with the military. BUT, there is a flip side! Healing also has a ripple effect. This conversation is also about “assuming noble intent” - as Justin puts it - lowering our defenses, asking the hard questions, and holding space for someone else's truth. And let me tell you, Justin showed up for this in a big way. We discussed the impact of military service on personal integrity and the importance of grace and understanding in supporting veterans during their transition to civilian life. I walked away changed. And I believe you will, too. Join the conversation…Guest Bio:With over two decades of service in the United States Army and healthcare, I am beginning the transition to the civilian workforce. This is NOT an easy transition for anyone who starts into a culture such as the military at the age of 17 or 18.My military career began as a healthcare specialist overseeing the night shift EMT team, expanded into higher-level leadership, leadership instruction, senior advisory roles, and aeromedical evacuation management, and will end with my current senior position as the Executive Clinical Director of Evans Army Community Hospital. With an extensive background in military healthcare and a focus on healthcare innovation and project management, my tenure at Evans Army Community Hospital has been marked by the advancement of medical facilities and services for a vast beneficiary community. At the helm of a 2,700-member team, we've fostered innovation and optimized resources in a dynamic healthcare environment.I have had the honor of leading troops in the far east and southwest of Asia as well as other regions. I am a Flight Medic by trade, but have had the privilege as serving in a myriad of rolls. Most notably was an Advisor to the Ministries of Health for the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan as well as Logistics Command to the Afghan Army. It was here, in Kabul from 2020-2021 that I learned the importance of assuming intent and the importance of recognizing the nobility in each of us, that we are ALL doing the best we can; with what we have, from the experiences we have had and the resources life have given us.Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/justin.cauthen?igsh=dmZ6azJicXEwb3Jr&utm_source=qrFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/share/18fNhfrPuu/?mibextid=wwXIfrLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/justin-cauthen?utm_source=share&utm_campaign=share_via&utm_content=profile&utm_medium=ios_app About Jen Oliver:I pursue and create environments where we converse on the REAL stuff that changes us. • We limit ourselves by the stories we believe
    Mar 31 2025

Y’all, this episode with Bara Mann was one that I want you to be a part of.

We talked about belonging, identity, and the stories we tell ourselves—especially the ones that no longer serve us. Bara shared her childhood moments of trying to fit in - and I talked of what that looks like as an adult. I’ve been that chameleon too—fitting in everywhere, but not necessarily showing all of me.

This conversation was about breaking down the invisible walls we put up, and finding courage to speak from our truest place.

We also explored the energy of our words—how our stories hold weight, shape our lives, and ripple into the world. Every time we speak from our truth, we add momentum to the life we want to live.

This episode is a loving invitation to question old stories and come home to yourself.

Grab a seat on the couch. Let’s keep going deeper. Together.

  • “Horribly Lovely” - A conversation with Jon Kohrs
    Feb 23 2025

Reading “Horribly Lovely” was exactly that…and, I could not stop turning the pages. My conversation with the author, Jon Kohrs, went deep as we talked about his “Horribly Lovely” journey. I will avoid spoilers, but this newly released book may cause you to reconsider many things. I confess to sitting in judgment of people and behaviors that Jon’s writing exposes; from addiction to marital infidelity, he opens the door wide open to us with each chapter. This conversation opened me up to a greater space of love, compassion, and understanding.

Jon shares his personal experiences with shame and an insatiable quest for connection, providing insights into the challenges of being truly present for people we love and the impact of past traumas on current relationships.

We also discuss the roots of addiction, the stigma surrounding suicidal ideation, and the importance of authenticity in sharing personal stories. The dialogue emphasizes the gray areas of right and wrong, the beauty in messiness, and the transformative journey of being human. Join our conversation…

Here is the link again to the website. The alchemy quiz is at the top. http://horriblylovely.com/

    Guest Bio:

With an unconventional approach to writing, Jon is trying to break the norms of how we express ourselves authentically and idiosyncratically with the full originality of who we are as individuals. His writing is dreamlike, symbolic, and even poetic, uplifting the human spirit through the clarity and blunt punctuation of our experience living here together.

His writing is an attempt to weave wisdom from his own unconventional journeys, with the Enneagram, shamanism, and Jungian alchemy, to explore the depth of human transformation. Jon is inspired to investigate how love works in this big bang universe of ours to empower others to bring their own real, honest, and uncomfortable love stories to the world.

Jon balances writing with consulting opportunities to transform companies, teams, and leaders that desire to work in whole new ways. He serves as a designer, coach, and teacher, helping employees grow through the process of transforming ideas into intrapreneurial ventures.

In both the literary and corporate worlds, he’s served as a creative bridge between the personal and transpersonal realms. He is inspired by the shocks that help us unlearn who we think we and the resilience that helps us relearn who we truly are.
