  • Congrats on your college degree! Now, go home and be good wives and mothers!

Was that really the advice Kansas City Chief’s kicker Harrison Butker was giving during his recent commencement address at a Catholic university?

The backlash is everywhere, the reaction is intense … including in the Robach/Holmes household.

T.J. and Amy — who was raised Catholic — break through the noise for a personal conversation at their kitchen table to understand why the controversial comments received condemnation from some and applause from others.

Where was the conversation about Colin Kaepernick?

I'm glad Amy was standing up for women and the harm that a speech like this does when womens rights are being threatened. Yes, it was at a catholic school but he DID NOT need to bring that up when celebrating their accomplishments. They went to school because they clearly want a career. Nevermind all the other hateful things that he spoke of. I'm sure there was members of the LGBT community graduating, some closeted because of the judgment from people like him. Did people give Colin Kaepernick the chance for conversations? He wasn't standing up for religious beliefs but for his fellow humans, human rights. Religion is dangerous and threatening many people's rights currently. I feel like TJ was defending his speech and people doing that are only helping the people that want to cause harm and take away so many rights we have fought so hard for.
