The Trump administration has been peddling to the American people that its deportation effort would focus on immigrants who had been convicted of crimes. However, new reporting suggests that is not the case.

The administration is mindlessly and callously sweeping up undocumented men, women, and children. Given that statistics show undocumented workers pay an estimate $100 billion dollars in taxes each year, this aimless deportation operation will absolutely 1. hurt human beings and families, 2. hurt the US economy, and 3. hurt US tax revenue. So Trump's deportation policy is a lose-lose-lose proposition.

Donald Trump seems to be building a kind of insurrection Ponzi scheme. He has his ICE agents create chaos by engaging in callous, mindless, counter-productive immigration sweeps, then Trump says he must call up and federalize the California National Guard to quell the chaos HE CREATED! However, it appears that Trump violated federal law, which expressly requires that such "orders . . shall be issued through the governors of the states" which Trump failed to do.

Accordingly, the Attorney General for California has sued the Trump administration for its unlawful actions.

So it turns out that Donald Trump, Attorney General Pam Bondi, and the Department of Justice lawyers were lying all along when they claimed it's impossible to return to the United States someone they wrongfully deported, because that person was in a sovereign nation and the US had no power or authority to facilitate the person's return. For the first time, the Trump administration HAS facilitated the return of a Guatemalan migrant that they had wrongfully deported to Mexico. A federal judge in Massachusetts ordered the Trump administration to "take all immediate steps" to return the man. The administration complied with that order and now the man is once again back in the US. The obvious question for Donald Trump is: was that REALLY so hard?

The presiding Judge, Paula Xinis, has granted Abrego Garcia's legal team's request to pursue sanctions for the DOJ's violation of court- ordered discovery. In some important new reporting by Newsweek: "Major Companies Abandon Law Firms That Signed Deals with Trump". The article states "The Wall Street Journal reported on a legal luncheon at Manhattan's Cipriani restaurant in May, where Brooke Cucinella, a top lawyer at the hedge fund Citadel, told other lawyers present that they like working with lawyers who don't run from a fight." The law firms that bent a knee to Trump, capitulated to his lawlessness and, figuratively speaking, gave Trump their lunch money, are learning the hard way that giving in to a bully doesn't protect you, it encourages more bullying and it further endangers you.
