Day 181 | 2 Kings 16:19-20; 2 Chronicles 28:26-27; Isaiah 13:1–16:14
Isaiah zooms out to pronounce judgment not just on Israel, but on the surrounding nations—Babylon, Assyria, Philistia, and Moab. Through these prophecies, we see a common theme: pride leads to destruction. Even as God uses some of these nations to carry out His plans, their arrogance blinds them to their own coming judgment. Israel, called to be a light to the nations, has instead been influenced by them. Yet, through it all, God continues to offer refuge for the humble and hope for those who repent before time runs out.
