Semi-Final 2 of Eurovision 2025 delivered its share of drama, surprise qualifiers, and emotional exits as Ireland’s EMMY and her high-energy anthem "Laika Party" unfortunately missing out on a place in Saturday’s Grand Final.
Despite a performance filled with intergalactic flair and an infectious chorus, Ireland fell short in a fiercely competitive lineup. It’s a tough result for Irish fans, many of whom had placed big hopes on EMMY’s bold staging and pop appeal to take them through.
The 10 countries that did secure a place in the Grand Final are:
🇱🇹 Lithuania | Katarsis – Tavo Akys
🇮🇱 Israel | Yuval Raphael – New Day Will Rise
🇦🇲 Armenia | PARG – SURVIVOR
🇩🇰 Denmark | Sissal – Hallucination
🇦🇹 Austria | JJ – Wasted Love
🇱🇺 Luxembourg | Laura Thorn – La Poupée Monte Le Son
🇫🇮 Finland | Erika Vikman – ICH KOMME
🇱🇻 Latvia | Tautumeitas – Bur Man Laimi
🇲🇹 Malta | Miriana Conte – SERVING
🇬🇷 Greece | Klavdia – Asteromáta
Conor and Lou are joined by Alex Basmati to dissect the results — from surprise qualifiers to the biggest snubs of the night. Together, they break down what worked, what didn’t, and why EMMY’s space-pop spectacle may have struggled to connect with voters.
