  • Dr. Bob, as we call him, discusses his recent best-selling book on healing and releasing trauma, Stop Doing Sh*t You Don’t Want To Do. He also shares his life experiences and how to successfully overcome addiction. We Are Not Our Secrets welcomes this Psychologist, mentor, actor, and father to the podcast. Dr. Bob says, ‘“Too much (emotional) safety is dangerous.” We should show our true emotions and be our authentic selves. Every emotion has value. Experiencing them can help prevent us from not having these pressurized explosions waiting to happen.’ Dr. Bob also drops some controversial nuggets, ‘The psychiatry world may be doing more harm than good.’ Why? ‘Addicts created the 12 step program to overcome addiction because psychiatry methods offered no solutions. “If someone does the 12 step program, in its entirety, it is 100% effective!” The masters and doctoral programs produces more thinkers — not healers.’ You may email the show at wanos23@yahoo.com to share your story.
