How common is the presentation of inflammatory bowel disease in those over 65? How does age affect the treatments commonly used? Does obesity alter the disease presentation or activity and what are some of the unique challenges our LGBTQ patients face with inflammatory bowel disease? These are just some of the questions I’ll be asking my guests, Amanda M. Johnson, M.D., and Victor G. Chedid, M.D., M.S., both gastroenterologists at the Mayo Clinic.
