  • #148. My Top 3 Energy Tools for a Thriving Practice (and Life!)
    May 6 2025

Question or comment? 🙋‍♀️ Send me a text message!

If you've been listening to this podcast for any length of time, then you know that I’m just as likely to talk about how your sun sign affects your practice, as much as your marketing strategy does, right?

But today, I thought I’d go a little deeper. A little more personal.

I thought maybe it was time to share a more with you about the energy side of running a practice, or what my friends and I call the ‘woo side’ of owning a business.

This topic might not be for everybody (and you can call me hokie if you want to), but I believe that we are all an active, collaborative part of the universe - and that energy impacts everything we do.

So today, I’m pulling back the curtain and sharing 3 of my favorite energy tools – tools I use, not just for managing my practice, but for managing myself too.

    In this episode, you’ll hear:

    • How I used an ancient practice to dramatically improve the feel of my group practice space (…including a funny story about the use of vodka in that process).
    • My go-to tool for personal guidance, and exactly how I use it to tune into what’s important to me right now.
    • Why healers like us sometimes need help from other healers (and a pretty incredible experience I had during my own session with a healer).
    • What happens when you believe in angels…😇

Friends - I’ve recorded this episode because I want to be real with you. If you’re going to listen to someone, learn from them, and maybe follow some of their guidance, I believe it’s important that you know who is behind that voice.

    And who knows?

Maybe there’s a reason why today’s episode found you. 🤔

Energy moves in mysterious ways, after all. :)

    I hope this is helpful.

    ~Wendy

P.S. “Okay Wendy - THAT was super interesting….!“ If that’s what you find yourself saying as you listen, would you please share a little love with a 5 star review and a few words over on Apple Podcasts or Spotify

  • #147. Why You're Stuck (and How to Finally Break Free) with Riana Malia
    Apr 29 2025

Question or comment? 🙋‍♀️ Send me a text message!

Listeners - I’ve got an episode here that could genuinely shift things for you … 😲

We’re meeting the inspiring Riana Malia today. Riana is a dynamic speaker, author, and reinvention strategist who specializes in helping ambitious women clear out the subconscious patterns holding them back so they can finally create the extraordinary life (and practice!) that's truly meant for them.

In our conversation, she breaks down her powerful Clear to Create™ methodology, explaining why so many successful, intelligent women (yes, even we healers and practice owners!) get stuck repeating the same cycles, especially when it comes to things like income ceilings or attracting the right clients.

    One of my favorite parts?

When she explained the specifics of Quantum Time Release – a technique she uses to help clients rapidly release the weight of old emotions and limiting beliefs without having to dig through all the painful details.

It’s a method that works, and it’s super interesting.

    In this episode, you’ll learn:

    • The surprising reason why it may feel like you ALMOST reach your goals, but never quite get there (and what's really going on underneath).
    • The hidden connection between resistance and resentment. (I found this especially interesting…)
    • Why focusing on what you DON’T want practically guarantees you'll keep getting it – and the simple shift to attract what you do.
    • How to start becoming a "magnet for miracles" in your own life and business. (Isn’t that a lovely thought?)

Riana offers so many gems in this episode, so give it a listen – you might just find the key to unlock that next level you've been searching for.

Here’s to writing a new story!

    ~Wendy

P.S. Does this resonate with you? Where have you felt stuck in your practice? I’d love to hear. Talk to me directly by sending an email to me at Wendy@WendyPittsReeves.com.

  • 146. I Had No Idea How Important a Professional Will Was - And Then I Met Robyn Miller.
    Apr 22 2025

Question or comment? 🙋‍♀️ Send me a text message!

Okay, y’all, today we're digging into a topic we often push aside.

We talk a lot about what it means to build an Ideal Practice(c), attracting perfect clients, doing the work we were called to do... but what happens to all of that – and more importantly, to our clients – if the unexpected happens to us?

In this episode, I’m talking to the amazing Robyn Miller. Robyn is the founder of TheraClosure, a first-of-its-kind service that provides professional executor services to therapists.

She's here to guide us through this crucial, yet often neglected, aspect of responsible practice ownership.

    Because here's the truth:

Having a plan for your practice closure isn't about planning for the worst … it's a profound act of care for your clients, your family, and your professional legacy.

    In this episode, you'll hear:

    • Why simply naming a colleague or family member as your 'professional executor' often isn't enough (and why it can be deeply unfair). << This was HUGE for me.
    • The crucial, specific details that your professional will MUST include (it goes way beyond client names, folks).
    • The single biggest mistake therapists make regarding passwords and record access in the case of an emergency.

    Oy.

This may be a real eye-opener for most of you (it sure was for me), but this, too, is part of having an Ideal Practice(c).

Estate planning is a serious subject. It’s a hard subject. But it’s an important one because I know how deeply you care about your clients.

And taking the time to plan for the unexpected is your chance to make sure they are taken care of, no matter what.

    Give it a listen.

    ~Wendy

P.S. Are you enjoying this podcast?? If so, have you left a review for me yet over on Apple Podcasts or Spotify? Your reviews help me grow our listeners and get this info in front of more practice owners. Please consider adding your review today. Thank you!

    TODAY’S GUEST: ROBYN MILLER

Robyn Miller, Ph.D. is the founder of TheraClosure, LLC, the first psychotherapist professional executor service in the U.S. Trained at Harvard Medical School, she writes and trains clinicians on professional wills and the role of practice executor.

She says therapists must safeguard their clients, practice, and family with a comprehensive professional will that plans for client wellbeing - and the security of medical records - in the event of incapacitation or death.

This important but challenging ethical obligation is often overlooked, but essential to protect those who depend on us and the practice to which we've devoted so much.
