Acerca de esta escucha
In this month's installment, Michael Tillman, cloud native workload expert from Mirantis, will walk you through a real world example of a SaaS company that worked with Mirantis to migrate over 3000 workloads off of VMware onto Mirantis OpenStack for Kubernetes (MOSK) - all in just a few short months. The migration was prompted by a massive price increase on the VMware side, which caused this organization to look for a viable alternative solution. Please note, the SaaS company will remain anonymous, but Michael will provide the details needed to see how Mirantis truly made a difference in their recent migration.
In addition to the speed at which Mirantis was able to achieve this migration, the SaaS company also saved over 60% in their Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), which was achieved by leveraging open source components and implementing a CI/CD strategy that automated as many steps in the provisioning and deployment phases as possible. Furthermore, the SaaS company was able to achieve this migration while maintaining the most rigorous standards of security and compliance, including FIPS 140-2 and FEDRAMP - both required security standards for working with the US Federal Government. Thinking of moving away from VMware? Let Michael explain why that may be a good choice for your organization.
