Ok Missing Chapter fans, how many of you enjoy participating in and watching sports? If you’re a sports fan, like the Phils here, then you can sit down at the end of a work day and decompress by watching your favorite team, or watch a random game with a random team just because of the entertainment value. What is it that draws us in? How is it that I can watch the OIympics till the middle of the night without blinking an eyelash, with a sport that I’ve never heard of before? I think it’s because as former athletes, we appreciate and are amazed at the time, dedication, and practicing profound skill sets that athletes of all shapes and sizes are willing to put their bodies through in order to pursue perfection. It’s unbelievable what the human body is capable of if we’re willing to be disciplined and endure the painful grind of practicing a skill day in and day out. And that’s the idea for today’s episode. Someone who history has already forgotten, but someone who, by doing daily activities by trade, became one of the most elite athletes and in one of the most obscure ways, became legendary. Well we haven’t forgotten him, and oh, we haven’t forgotten our coffee either. So turn up the volumes, get a couple more reps on your treadmills, and try to keep up with today’s Missing Chapter Profile.
