  • Psalm 148 Izzi Ray sings "You Are The Only One"
    Jul 18 2025
    This is what we are created for, to know God, praise Him and be with Him in His new creation forever. We are loved more than we realize, surrounded by grace, even in the midst of trials and hardships. God is with us forever. Chad unpacks this wonderful Psalm and renews us with words of truth and encouragement. Izzi Ray sings "You Are The Only One" Psalm 148 ESV Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord from the heavens; praise him in the heights! Praise him, all his angels; praise him, all his hosts! Praise him, sun and moon, praise him, all you shining stars! Praise him, you highest heavens, and you waters above the heavens! Let them praise the name of the Lord! For he commanded and they were created. And he established them forever and ever; he gave a decree, and it shall not pass away.a]">[a] Praise the Lord from the earth, you great sea creatures and all deeps, fire and hail, snow and mist, stormy wind fulfilling his word! Mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars! Beasts and all livestock, creeping things and flying birds! Kings of the earth and all peoples, princes and all rulers of the earth! Young men and maidens together, old men and children! Let them praise the name of the Lord, for his name alone is exalted; his majesty is above earth and heaven. He has raised up a horn for his people, praise for all his saints, for the people of Israel who are near to him. Praise the Lord! • Jeremiah 11:18-23 Andrea Hammond sings "You Take It All"
    Jul 11 2025
    The Lord made it known to me and I knew; then you showed me their deeds. But I was like a gentle lamb led to the slaughter. I did not know it was against me they devised schemes, saying, “Let us destroy the tree with its fruit, let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name be remembered no more.” But, O Lord of hosts, who judges righteously, who tests the heart and the mind, let me see your vengeance upon them, for to you have I committed my cause. Therefore thus says the Lord concerning the men of Anathoth, who seek your life, and say, “Do not prophesy in the name of the Lord, or you will die by our hand”— therefore thus says the Lord of hosts: “Behold, I will punish them. The young men shall die by the sword, their sons and their daughters shall die by famine, and none of them shall be left. For I will bring disaster upon the men of Anathoth, the year of their punishment.” This is so beautifully explained and meditated on by Chad. Andrea Hammond sings "You Take It All". Lyrics to "Laid on Him"

    All we like sheep have gone astray

    Everyone has turned to his own way

    And the Lord has laid on him

    All of our iniquity and all our sin

    Laid on him

    Oppressed and afflicted

    No deceit in Your tongue

    Castaway with the wicked

    God’s only Son.

    And the Lord has laid on him

    All of our iniquity and all our sin

    Laid on him

    Yet it was the will of the Lord to crush him;

    he has put him to grief

    Out of the anguish of his soul he shall see and be satisfied;

    by his knowledge shall the righteous one, my servant,

    make many to be accounted righteous,

    when his soul makes an offering for guilt,

    he shall see his offspring; he shall prolong his days;

    the will of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.

    Out of the anguish of his soul he shall see and be satisfied;

    by his knowledge shall the righteous one, my servant,

    make many to be accounted righteous, Hallelujah

    And the Lord has laid on him

    All of our iniquity and all our sin

    Laid on him

  • Isaiah 42:1-9 Markita Knight sings "Behold"
    Jun 20 2025
    Part of the passage Chad looks at says; “I am the Lord; I have called you in righteousness; I will take you by the hand and keep you; I will give you as a covenant for the people, a light for the nations, to open the eyes that are blind, to bring out the prisoners from the dungeon, from the prison those who sit in darkness. I am the Lord; that is my name; my glory I give to no other, nor my praise to carved idols. Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I now declare; before they spring forth I tell you of them.” This is what our minds should dwell on. The beautiful love and mercy that has come for us and called us by name. Chad has an encouraging word for us and Markita Knight sings a beautiful song entitled "Behold". • Isaiah 50:4-11 Lynn sings "With Every Step"
    Jun 13 2025

    Once again we meditate on an Old Testament passage that is all about Jesus Christ. When we read "

    5

    The Lord God has opened my ear,
    and I was not rebellious;
    I turned not backward.

    6

    I gave my back to those who strike,
    and my cheeks to those who pull out the beard;
    I hid not my face
    from disgrace and spitting.

    7

    But the Lord God helps me;
    therefore I have not been disgraced;
    therefore I have set my face like a flint,
    and I know that I shall not be put to shame."

    We realize that Christ humbled Himself in so many ways, even giving His cheeks to His tormentors. Chad meditates on this and the meaning of "Word of the Father".

    Lynn sings "Step by Step".

    Lyrics to "Step by Step"

    Though I walk through darkness

    And my eyes they cannot see

    Your voice has been my light.

    With every step guiding me

    Word of the Father

    You speak to me

    You offered Yourself

    For Your enemies

    Morning by morning

    Awaken me I pray

    Not by my own light

    And not in my own way

    Lord you will help me

    With every step, every hour

    Day by day

    With every step, every hour

    Day by day

    You are the Word

    You didn’t hide Your face

    From hate and disgrace

    You brought light to the darkness

    To the whole human race

    Word of the Father

    You speak to me

    You offered Yourself

    For Your enemies

    Morning by morning

    Awaken me I pray

    Not by my own light

    And not in my own way

    Lord you will help me

    With every step, every hour

    Day by day

    With every step, every hour

    Day by day

    You are the Word

    You gave Your back to those who strike,
    and Your cheeks to those who pulled out Your beard;
    You did not hide Your face

    You did not hide Your face
    from all of this disgrace

    You sustain me and remain with a word

    All who are weary

    And Your sacrifice was not in vain

    You carried all our shame

    I hope in Your name

    The name without shame

    The mighty name of Jesus

    You are the Word

  • Psalm 98 with Colin Heinrich singing "Face to Face"
    Jun 6 2025

    Only God sees the whole story, and the backstory from every angle, and only God is qualified to judge us. We may judge others and ourselves much too harshly, or we may not care enough to speak up when someone is in need of guidance. in Psalm 98 we see the whole earth become animated and rejoice because God is coming to judge, and He will get it right. The wonderful Colin Heinrich sings "Face to Face".

    Lyrics to "Unremembered"

    I see the setting sun

    In the middle of my life

    And here I come

    To the bitter end

    Wounded and rejected

    Unable to pretend

    I know its by Your hand

    That day turns into night

    I cry til morning

    No strength left to fight

    You shattered all my bones

    I’m a bird who cannot fly

    Chorus:

    But today I am living

    Today I will feast

    For the rest of my life

    I’ll walk down these streets

    And give you thanks

    For though my wounds are tender

    My sin is unremembered

    Forgiveness is found in You

    Everything you’ve done

    Was for my benefit

    To save me from myself

    Myself and my regrets

    Only You can make me whole

    And heal my wounded soul

    In struggle or in pain

    Your mercy comes down

    In loss or gain

    I will always be found

    Praise the Lord, O my soul

    I will join the heavenly hosts

    All my sins

    Behind Your back

    Unremembered
