Revelatory!

This was episode was nothing short of revelatory.

I’m happy to report the content you shared will come in handy next time I become self-critical or self-doubtful about my intelligence (something that has happened a lot in my 56 yrs around the sun) stemming from not being able to see future consequences, or as you say, not realizing that foresight is even needed to begin with in certain situations.

This “Ah hah” will 1} help me replace self-critical talk with thoughts of self-compassion next time.

And 2) You have given me a valuable tool for ye olde toolbox in the form of a reminder of the importance of figuring out what the “then that” is to life’s never ending string of “if this then that” scenarios - and I like that it’s from a self-love, self-support perspective, because the consequence-reasoning is also not something my brain instinctively or naturally does.

You’ve given me a good answer to the inevitable “But, why?” question. I appreciate you sharing very much.
