What he didn't want others to know was that he was struggling financially, and he and his family were barely getting by. He even enlisted the help of his father-in-law, Hakiakat Pannag, who lived with him and his wife, Shalinderjit, along with other family members, to help him pay it off, which caused a strain in the relationship. So, when Gurpreet walks into his home on the night of April 28 to find 4 members of his family, including his wife, murdered, he soon becomes the primary suspect.
