In this episode, host Michael DeStefano discusses the entire Doctoral Resesarch Project that was conducted with Brevard County Fire Rescue. The primary purpose of the study was to discover the challeges that leaders fact in motivating firefighters and how intrinsic/extrinsic motivators impacted morale leading to potential turnover. The two primary theories utilized in the presentation of findings were Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs and the Social-Exchange theory.
