Acerca de esta escucha
When Putin came to the Presidency, he didn't leave his KGB past entirely behind him. The secret services quickly became “the new nobility” of Russia. When the biggest terrorist attack in Russia happened - hundreds of children held hostage at a school - this new nobility was put to the test.

I was gonna say two things, I listened again and remembered it's a loss of decorum that Putin fears above all Else though control is obviously a big part of that
Additionally I don't know how I feel about the dramatic music that plays the little bit of music that plays when they're talking about how everybody thinks the situation is going to explode does a great job of heightening the tension but it makes it feel like an episode of 24 instead of a legit political historical event...
As a Hazard of being a, sadly?, Long-time viewer of law & order I can tell when the witness is about to crack or when they pick something up I can tell it's the big piece of evidence before they say anything because the music starts playing in the background before it happens. so if you're that attuned to it like I am it kind of ruins it for me in a sense. I don't get the big reveal because I already knew it was coming, they started the music up 30 seconds before and I don't think that everybody really notices that the people that haven't watched the show into the ground like me so you know that's sad on me but by the same token it does give me some kind of insight into that sort of thing so I don't know how I feel about the music it's highly effective but you know so is lipstick on a whore...
It kind of reminds me of no country for old men there's no soundtrack whatsoever in that film but when people were asked after they watched it, how it made them feel, etc.
they knew there was something different but they couldn't put their finger on it because a lot of that background dramatic music is kind of subliminal
That's basically what I'm trying to say/point out
still old news but better than last'un
