Acerca de esta escucha

Annoyed at the hopelessly dated anti-drug program at his 13-year-old son Elijah's Texas public school, writer Neal Pollack decides to take Elijah to Colorado, for a more modern drug education. There, Elijah meets a marijuana journalist and a family of medical-marijuana activists, who teach him that there's more to learn about drugs than "just say no."

I loved how this was mostly about medical marijuana education, not recreational marijuana.

They had a little girl with epilepsy talk about the hilariously outdated medical marijuana laws in Texas. I didn’t they were serious!!! It’s so ridiculous!!!

Better than I expected!!!

Very interesting to see another side of marijuana. Yes, kids should know a bit about all drugs- their effect on the body, their dangers, and their uses. As a nurse, I attended a workshop on methamphetamines, which I decided was about the worst thing out there, partly because it is so easy to make and has such horrible side effects. And I have always been a person to want to know why. I think we should let our kids ask why, and answer with all the scientific, statistical, and anecdotal information at our disposal.

I definitely learned something new
