An agronomist, educator, and passionate advocate for food justice, Edie was born into a Ugandan farming family—the same year Slow Food was founded. He’s dedicated his life to making agriculture and food culture a source of dignity and empowerment for people.
From his early work on the Slow Food Gardens in Uganda to now leading a movement spanning over 2000 local groups worldwide, Edie is reshaping the narrative around food, farming, and the future of our planet.
