Look behind the scenes at the "hook up" that led to the unleashing of this Diary. How did Pam meet her ex, and better question how did she stay with him? Before the challenges of being a single mom, understand those of being a non single mom and it starts to become clear how the transition perhaps wasn't that difficult  a transition at all and her seemingly breakdown led way to her breakthough. He might not have been her knight and shining armour but through personal and spiritual development Pam can see how for her blessings to have unfolded as they have he was not just important but he was necessary.  Thanks Uncle Dad!

Pam takes the crown of supermom raising 4 kids on her own but the looks of amazement are another level when she adds to the resume 4 dogs. She does not even know sometimes how she does it but the common denominator in all chapters and episodes and often in the here and now moments is this unrelentless love she has for each of the nuumbers. She makes it clear in this episode that her life choices may not sit well with everyone. If we are being honest probably no one but this has not deterred her from walking the walk. She has a strong mind, a big heart and a very high tolerance for chaos. She just keeps on keeping on. Come along and enjoy the ride!

When people say four kids is like having three kids they are lying! Life shifts with an addition of a new coffee table much less an entire little person. Pam means it when she says each child brought more life, love and laughter but in the same breath and make that a very long diaphragmatic exhale she also preaches more kids means more anger, attitude and ativan. Keep in mind the numbers were not born into a single mom household well...that is up for a metaphorical debate. They have personalities and temperaments some would say unique to their place in the hierarchy and Pam discusses that and it's realness in the family. Chapter 3, episode 3 we get to know the numbers and how they make this family dynamic all theirs and all perfect. 

Zyanna, the eldest and Elzhi; second in the hierarchy are the teenagers of the clan and yes they fit the part very well. With very different personalities they still encompass all things great but not all run ins with mom are roses and unicorns. Chapter 2 is an intro to the dynamic of Pam's family and it leads way to the beginnings of an ongoing conversation about the tricks to being a single mom outnumbered by kids, K9s and chaos. Enjoy!

My first diary entry I am positive is not unique or unfamiliar to many single moms. The what ifs, the if onlys and the dream versus reality conflict in my head for sure sets the scene for all the memoirs transformed into episodes coming up. But before diving into meeting the "numbers"; btw thats the family, follow along with a seemingly simple drive thru experience that for a single mom of 8 could never be of the sort.
