Welcome to Dean's Chat, where we go inside the world of podiatric medicine. I'm Dr. Jeffrey Jensen, the Dean of the Arizona College of Podiatric Medicine, and this show will highlight the organizations, leaders, and voices in the podiatry profession. Join me each week for discussions on all things podiatry including clinical, academic, research, administrative, and even politics within our great field. We will cover many topics in podiatry, raise some questions, find some answers, dive deep into some challenges, and shine a positive light on Podiatric Medicine's inner workings...and hopefully, get you involved in the podiatry field! Dean’s Chat includes conversations with leaders in the podiatric profession including Deans, Residency Directors, Faculty, Researchers, and Entrepreneurs. The conversations include podiatric medical students, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-year residents, and young practitioners.     Welcome to Dean’s Chat Dr. Rachel Albright! Drs. Jensen and Richey are thrilled to discuss “all things podiatric medicine and surgery” with Dr. Albright. Dr. Albright is currently practicing with Stamford Health Medical Group in Connecticut. She holds a Master's degree in Public Health from The Dartmouth Institute, Geisel School of medicine and a Bachelors degree In Business Management with a minor in chemistry from the University of South Florida. She completed her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine Degree from Scholl College and went on to do a 3 year surgical residency at John H. Stroger Hospital of Cook County and Advocate Illinois Masonic Medicine Center.

    Join us as she discussed her passion for Research and public health including her experience in health economic models which she learned during a unique opportunity to study abroad at the University of Oxford in the field of Applied methods of cost-effectiveness analysis. We discuss the multiple organizations that she has served in leadership roles with application of her exceptional research acumen including APMA and ACFAS. She also serves as Deputy Editor with the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery and Associate editor for the Journal of Podiatric Medical Association as well as a reviewer for Foot and Ankle International, Gerontology and even reviews grants for international organizations.

    With her passion for research, she is also an exceptional faculty member with numerous publications and invited lectures across a multitude of professional organizations. She serves as faculty for the AO North America, UT RGV and Scholl College as well as Dartmouth College teaching qualitative methods and survey research methods.     Drs. Jensen and Richey welcome Dr. Nicole Brouyette to Dean’s Chat! Dr. Brouyette currently serves as the Associate Program director for Henry Ford Health System Residency program in Detroit MI. She got her undergraduate degree at Wayne State University with a Bachelors of Science in Molecular biology. She completed her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine with the Ohio College and completed her 3 yr surgical residency training program with St. Johns Hospital and Medical center in Detroit MI.     Dr. Brouyette is a true leader in the profession.     Allan held key roles in medical education, strategy development, tech scouting, and business development, contributing to over $1.5bn in acquisitions.

    Dr. Freedline also designed and patented a globally sold medical device and was on the initial design team for the first single use disposable negative pressure device.
