In this message Pastor Alex gives us 4 ways to insure that we get the most out of a relationship and experience with God.

• Practice true humility by boasting in the Lord.
• Call out to God with your needs and recognize his hand in providing for them.
• Don’t sample the Goodness of God, fully savor it.
• Recognize that for all people, God is either a Gracious Savior or a Punishing Judge.

One of the reasons we often lose our joy, is because we often put our joy in unstable things. Your joy is only as stable as the things you’re putting your joy in. Today’s Psalm will teach us to put our joy in the only thing that’s always stable, which is God. In this message Pastor Louis points us to Jesus as the only one who lived, died, and rose again proving his joy is the only joy that’s eternal and stable. When you put your joy in him, your joy will be restored by him.

In Psalm 31 we learn David’s afflictions were able to shake him, but they weren’t able to break him. It’s because he anchored his life to God. The reality is afflictions will eventually come, and you need something to anchor your life to when they do come. Pastor Louis reminds us that the only firm foundation you can anchor your life to that isn’t shakable and breakable is God.

In this message Pastor Zack points us to the blueprint David gives us for worship that we can follow for our own lives. We have to decide who we are going to worship and make a commitment to be all in, whether we’re on the mountaintop or down in the valley.

David reminds us of the importance of turning our eyes from the
challenges and difficulties of life and focusing on the greatness and awesomeness of God. In this message, our Elder Emmanuel Bellon reminds us that God is not in trouble; he’s not trying to figure out what to do; he’s not scared of the issues of life like you and me; he’s not confused; he’s not aloof, but he’s alive and actively involved in his creation. He never changes; he’s the same yesterday, today, and forever. Our God is an awesome God. Whatever your situation, whether you are a believer or skeptic, he wants to know and experience the awesomeness of God in your life.

We all sometimes face situations that are beyond our control. Pastor Louis uses Psalm 28 to teach us that we have a God who hears our prayers, and that we’re never hopeless with God. If you’re a skeptic, then you’ll sometimes feel both helpless and hopeless, because you don’t have anywhere else to turn when all your other hopes fail. If you’re a believer, then you’ll sometimes feel helpless like the skeptic, but you can still be hopeful because you always have hope with God. The only way for any of us to have infinite hope, is to trust in the infinite God who’s infinitely greater than our problems.

The final message of Ecclesiastes is not that nothing matters… no, it is that everything matters! Everything is enhanced through our lives lived in light of God’s intention for us. Are you searching for truth? Pastor Robbie encouraged us to find truth in God’s word and then respond in obedience. Not so you will be accepted but because you are accepted.
